Rock Spikemoss is a low-growing mat-forming moss-like lycopod found on rock outcrops in the Mountains and Piedmont of North Carolina. Here it is at the eastern edge of its range on the granite flatrock at Mitchell's Mill State Natural Area east of Raleigh.
