Swamp Tupelo (Nyssa biflora)

Swamp Tupelo is similar to the common Blackgum (Nyssa sylvatica), but with narrower leaves and found only in wetlands. This Coastal Plain tree has been recorded in Chatham, Granville, and Wake counties in the Piedmont.
