Azure Sage (Salvia azurea Michaux ex Lamarck var. azurea)
| Azure Sage is quite rare in North Carolina, where it has been found in four counties in the southern Coastal Plain, primarily in the Sandhills region. The stems grow to 3-4 feet, but because of its lax habit (stems often lying on the ground), it can be relatively inconspicuous. Scotland Co., NC 10/4/2009. |
