This commonly planted grass is becoming an aggressive, highly invasive weed, especially in the Asheville, NC area. This large grass forms dense stands, preventing other plants from growing. Here is an invasive stand along the French Broad River. It is often just called Miscanthus as a common name. Another alternate common name is Eulalia.
