Snowberry Clearwing (Hemaris diffinis)

Hemaris diffinis (Snowberry Clearwing)

Snowberry Clearwing is the bumblebee moth — it looks a bit like a cross between a bumblebee and a hummingbird. This moth is commonly seen hovering and sipping nectar in flower gardens. They are quite difficult to photograph as they quickly flit from flower to flower. Snowberry Clearwing can be told from the similar Hummingbird Clearwing by its black legs.
