The green form is easily confused with the rare Pine Barrens Treefrog (Hyla andersonii), which is what I originally thought this was. Pine Barrens Treefrog is similar, but brighter green and smoother backed, with sharper colors. This juvenile nearly slipped into the trap of this Yellow Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia flava).

We found this little fellow in a wet powerline cut through a Longleaf Pine forest in the Croatan National Forest, Craven Co., NC 9/6/03.
