Statira Sulphur (Aphrissa statira)

In the US, Statira Sulphur is found in southernmost Florida and Texas, with strays wandering further north. Statira resembles Lyside Sulphur, but lacks the bulging vein in the center of the hindwing.

A freshly laid egg. Reported host plants in Florida are in the Fabaceae: Dalbergia ecastophyllum and Calliandra.
