Crossline Skipper (Polites origenes)
A common, fairly plain skipper, easily confused with the smaller Tawny-edged Skipper (P. themistocles). Crossline is far more common in the Piedmont, but Tawny-edged may be more common in the Coastal Plain, especially in high-quality pine savannas.
